About Playing Your Part
This set of breakfast seminars will look at how to leverage the Power of the Games to kick start Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in your business.
Each seminar will focus on an aspect of Corporate Social Responsibility that is relevant to firms of all sizes and sectors, with specialist speakers, surgery sessions and interactive workshops, all designed to give concrete next steps towards expanding your CSR programme. You do not need to be an official sponsor of the Olympics to get involved in its magic!
The events are completely free and open to businesses located in the City and the boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Hackney.

Olympics and Employee Wellbeing, Thursday 1st September, 8am – 10am
Happy staff make for productive and enthusiastic employees, but what role does CSR play in keeping staff content? This session looks at the internal aspects of CSR – team building, employee wellbeing, diversity and equality in the workplace – and how you can use the Spirit of the Games to engage your employees in harnessing these values at work.

This tour will visit community programmes around wellbeing, sport, creative arts, volunteering and mentoring, to give you a 360° view of how your organisation could get involved in building a real, lasting legacy in East London.

Much work has gone into ensuring the Games’ supply chain is ethical, environmental and local, with world standard ethical procurement policies being developed for the 2012 Games. Come and get step by step advice from industry experts on how you can make sure that your own supply chain standards are world class and how you can sustain these standards across the rest of your contracts.
